Bridging Cultures Through Hilot & Wellness Tourism

Discover the power of traditional Filipino healing at our April General Membership Meeting. We’ll begin the evening with dinner, member networking, and Chamber updates, followed by a special educational presentation by Hilot Master Trainer Apu Adman, Hilot Trainer Zanny Morales, and Native Hawaiian Practitioner Darcie Pulawa-Morales, as they explore the collaboration between Hawaiʻi and the Philippines in the growing global wellness and cultural tourism industry.

This presentation will explore:

What Hilot is and why it is considered one of the Philippines’ most important traditional healing systems
How the Philippines is integrating traditional wellness practices into hotels, resorts, and tourism industries
Opportunities for Hawaiʻi businesses, spas, and hospitality leaders to learn from the Philippines’ wellness tourism model
Ways entrepreneurs and professionals can incorporate cultural wellness practices into their businesses and personal lives

About our guest speakers

Apu Adman is a master teacher of Hilot Academy from the Philippines, dedicated to preserving and sharing traditional Filipino healing practices worldwide. He is the Nominated President of Wellness Tourism of Authority (WTAP) Philippines 2027.

Zanny Morales is the first student in America to receive his Ph.D in Hilot Medicine and he is a lineage holder who integrates traditional Filipino healing, bodywork, and spiritual diagnostics in his work.

Darcie Pulawa-Morales is a Native Hawaiian practitioner, NLP trainer bridging ancestral wisdom with modern transformation and manifestation practices.

Filipino Entrepreneur of the Year: This award, a cornerstone of our organization since 1989, honors seasoned entrepreneurs aged 40 and above who have achieved significant success in their businesses, made impactful contributions to the Hawaiʻi community, and upheld the highest ethical standards.
Young Filipino Entrepreneur of the Year: We celebrate the rising stars of our business community with this award, recognizing entrepreneurs aged 39 and under who have demonstrated exceptional talent, innovation, and a commitment to serving our community.
Filipino Executive of the Year: This award acknowledges outstanding Filipino executives in leadership positions aged 40 and above who have demonstrated exemplary excellence, made significant contributions to their organizations, and given back to the community.
Young Filipino Executive of the Year: This award spotlights dynamic leaders aged 39 and under who are making their mark in the corporate or non-profit sectors. It honors emerging executives who have shown remarkable leadership and professional excellence while maintaining a steadfast dedication to community service and the advancement of local industry.
