The Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii Foundation was granted its 501(c)(3) tax exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service in June 2006.

The purpose of the Foundation is to bring about the advancement and diffusion of knowledge and understanding of economics, matters of public concern, finance, education and training, housing, human relations, problems of minority groups, science and technology, economic and development, international relations and other subjects related to improved efficiency, development and acceleration of both the quality and quantity of economic growth and employment opportunities in the State of Hawaii.

The Foundation now undertakes all charitable and educational activities previously undertaken by the Filipino Chamber.  These activities include the Scholarship Golf Tournament, the awarding of scholarships to graduating Hawaii high school seniors, and the presentation of educational seminars and workshops.
